Unique concealed carry method--good idea or not?

Cheaptrick: I've mostly tried inside-the-pants holsters, which require that I wear a jacket or at least a loose overshirt and can sometimes be noticed when I sit down. Shoulder holsters would be great when I'm wearing a bulky coat, but that isn't often and I never know when I might need to take it off. I'm just getting started with handguns, and while it's easy to carry concealed if your gun is small enough, it's not comfortable for me to shoot with a weapon whose grip doesn't reach the bottom of my hand. I'd prefer to use something full-sized, and the camera bag option seems like a great way to accomodate that.
One option that you may not have considered is a THIN IWB holster (Galco makes a thin suede one with a plastic clip) worn at the 1:00-2:00 position, assuming you are right-handed. That conceals VERY well under a simple untucked shirt; get a camp shirt or something like that that's designed to be untucked, and you're good to go. I'm 5'6" and 160 lb, and I can carry an S&W 3913 without my wife being able to tell whether I'm carrying or not without asking, even in warm weather. In cooler weather, a sweatshirt works great. The only thing you can't do is wear a snug, ab-hugging shirt.

The problem I have with 4:00 hip carry is PRINTING if I lean forward, bend over, or squat down (and I have young kids, so that happens a lot). So for me, strong-side hip holsters are solely a cold-weather option.
