I don't understand the difference between the 158 and the 160. There is a huge difference

Yes and no. In reality, the data is quite inconsistent... some max data is higher for the 160grn, some not. I would say, besides the possible seating depth differences, that the FN bullet would be intended for hunting, the RN bullet not so much. It really is kind of odd, though, isn't it?
 
Off hand I’d say that the difference is seating depth. Some bullets take up more case volume (if seated to the crimp groove) which increases the pressure. Maybe someone else will chime in, but that’s my best guess.
I don't have the bullets in hand but they look exactly the same in construction, with the rn having a longer oal due to the longer point. I believe the under bullet volume would be the same, again I can't prove it. It also appears they would have the same bearing surfaces.
