Universal is due to release this month a picture originally called "Red State, Blue State" and is now simply called "The Hunt". The premise for the movie is white elitist liberals would go "hunting" for gun owners in rural areas.
This was being discussed on Rush's show today and, like Rush, I believe this could be construed as "inciting".

I have heard too many times from anti-gun folks the statement that gun owners are 'time-bombs'.
I assumed that this was a projection of what they would do if they owned a gun. This seems to prove their assertion that they cannot trust themselves with firearms.

Not much of a time bomb if out of nearly 100 million only a hand full of long time gun owners go off per year.
That's not counting the nut bags that go out, buy their first gun or 2nd and go shoot up a bunch of people.
The people who think gun owners are unstable and ready to flip out just assume everyone else is like themselves.

Apparently, all the trailers are being pulled out of theaters, and ESPN has stopped running them, for being "insensitive" after last week's shootings.

It's just another left-wing fantasy, much like the Purge.

Not all fantasies turn out in reality the way they played out in the mind.

So basically in their minds the people who are afraid of guns and abhor all violence will all of a sudden be Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee’s love child taking on all comers, but those who are good with guns will all of a sudden be cowering in fear ... okay.

If it is, in fact, a movie about liberals hunting conservatives, and it follows standard Hollywood formulation, doesn't that mean that a conservative hero/heroine will prevail in the end?

This has been suggested by a number of sources, however, it's not yet confirmed.

The release promotion is "on hold"--they will bide their time and try and see if they can recoup their investment.
This is pretty common in h'wood, things that do not "test" well or run counter to popular opinion are routinely shelved. There are a couple dozen finished (e.g. in the can) films that the money people won't put on the market.
