I was thinking of picking up a 7.62 Nagent revolver, and thought I might get some reloading dies for it.

Any idea where I might get a set without paying more for the dies than the gun?

You might try calling C&H Die Company. They will do special orders. I called them for a taper crimp die for my Star reloader and it was only $35 to have them machine the die to the correct (smaller) thread size.

Keep us posted on how reloading for this oddball cartridge goes. I have a Nagant and $20 for 40 rounds makes it fairly expensive to shoot. Reloading would help ease that expense.

zip on over to the 1895 Nagant sight ,lots of info on reloading for the little beast. it is a challenge reloading this thing.most folks end up using 30M1 carbine sizing dies, parts of the Nagant die set, home made seating die than re-sizing the brass as a final step.works great, but real challenge. jwr

Some data from "The Handloader's Manual of Cartridege Conversions (3rd Edition)", that may help.
