At range again today - used my older, lower power reading glasses - found them to be good compromise - Ruger Mark III Hunter at 25 feet (green pipe), Ruger 10-22 (stock sights) at 50 feet - paper targets (red bull) and Dirty Birds - could see sights and targets pretty well - not perfect, but 95% of the POI were in 10 ring or bull on paper targets and 98% in the green or the bull on Dirty Birds (OK, I cheated, used a cradle :)).

Ordered Hi Viz sights for 10-22 - will put the biggest green pipe in front.

Once dialed in, my challenge will be putting 90+% in the bull offhand with a sling on the 10-22.

Molōn labe!

Another idea: Go to a discount outlet store where they sell reading glasses. I needed help for reading here at the computer, although I'm fine for driving or wandering around.

I hunted through the selection until I found the right amount of correction for arms' length distance. Three pair for $5 and I'm in business.

They come in a sealed package. I had already determined the diopter correction needed at a store where they are individually on the rack, but for $10 a pair.

I'm a cheapskate. :)
