Hey guys,

I have a Springfield 1911 Loaded 9151 model. Fixed sights

I love this gun the most out of all my handguns and it in my eyes is a great foundation to build off of. I want to spend say $100, for some parts upgrades, and just wanted to know your opinions on what to do. besides night sights

It has from Springfield already

- delta lightweight hammer
- titanium firing pin,
- premium fixed adjustable speed trigger.

Thanks guys.

umm how about spent the $100 on ammo since you dont really "need" any updates?

I reload, I have 1000 rds waiting for me in the safe always. But I would like some Hp's for Hd. I'm waiting for a sale at my shop

I sent mine back to Springfield for some warranty work, while they had it, I had them do a trigger job on it. Nice crisp 4#. I think it was $65.00, money well spent.

GOOD MAGS. Go with Wilson Combat #47, Wilson Combat ETM, or Trip Research Cobra Mags.

Aside from mags, I'd say a new firing pin stop, I like the EGW and the Wilson Bullet Proof part; new slide stop again, I'd say Wilson Bullet Proof, new thumb safeties your choice of WIlson Bullet Proof or Ed Brown Hardcore, and some front strap checkering. Probably going to put you over the $100.00 mark, but all are well worth the cost.

It's been a while since I had a 5" 1911, I have been carrying a stainless 4" Wilson Combat Professional for a dozen years now but have wanted another 5" for different shooting scenarios. I work part time in a gunstore as a gunsmith and we recently received a new Springfield Stainless Loaded. I took the gun out of the case cycled it a few times and was amazed ath how tight the frame to slide fit is. There was zero play in the bushing/barrel lockup. Trigger pull was 5lbs per the digital scale but broke cleanly with no creep. It never made it to the gun case for sale. Today I picked up a box of MagTec 230gr FMJ and well I am a happy man to say the least. The first is one factory mag at 25 yds freehand the second at 50 with three mags. Not one malfunction whatsoever. Sorry about the crappy iphone pics. Dont think Ill change a thing.
