I am looking to upgrade my muffs to something better, such as a Bluetooth enabled device so I can listen to music while I shoot. Any recommendations? I want the highest decibel reduction possible. Even better if I can get it off of Amazon. Thoughts?

Thoughts?
I'm not entirely sanguine about the "earbud" hearingpro out there.
Yes, I understand the physics for noise cancelling, and that tiny speakers at fractions of a watt are magnitudes less than gunshots.
But, you are asking a lot of those with regard to fit.

And fit is important, as it's generally good to try and isolate how much sound gets passed via the anatomy near the ears.

And I'm very bearish on buying things off Amazon, as there are just too many drop shippers on the site anymore. If I find a thing searching on Amazon, I usually try and find the actual manufacturer and source things direct. Which can be disappointing when it turns out that Manufacturer X does not, in fact, make Product Y, or discontinued it or some such.

Now, my Howard Leight Sport has a jack so that a person can pipe in music or the like. I've used that on planes to some good effect. I'm old fashioned enough to not want music in my ear while shooting. Perhaps that is from being shouted at by professionally permanently-crossed persons at military ranges with highly inventive profanity. Any of that "leaking out" while at a public range might raise and eyebrow or two.

The Bluetooth for music would be more for shooting at my friends farm. I just want the option. My experience with Amazon/Ebay has been almost 100% positive, and I only mentioned Amazon because my job gave me a $500 gift card.

My daughter loves these. She would sooner forget her phone.

Kind of against my grain but whatever works and she does better with distractions…different folks…

Sordin. No Bluetooth but a 3mm jack. Bought my pair 7-8 years ago when I was competing at a club level, burning lots of rounds per year and needed to be able to hear. I'm surprised the price has gone up so much ($100) but such are the times we live in.

May or not fit your needs but very good muffs. That said, I probably only shoot 4-5K rounds per year and wouldn't pay the price today.

I discourage anything that distracts from 110% attention being given to shooting.

Electronic muffs that allow for range commands or improve situational awareness while protecting hearing is certainly an upgrade over passive muffs, but piping music into muffs while shooting is a downgrade to safety.

Plugs should be worn under muffs. Electronic muffs should be the best available for enhancing safety, communications, and situational awareness, not reducing attention to shooting.

I use Walker EXCEL, great muffs, with Bluetooth. I bought two pair, on for me and one for the wife, don't regret a penny. I have played music, on very ow volume, but one of the handiest things is being able to answer the phone if need be.
