UPS Left my gun on the doorstep- no signature!

As I recall, I had a gun left by a driver the same way, but I was home at the time, and either saw him driving away or became aware of the delivery by some other means soon after it was dropped off. I can't remember if it was the delivery guy's fault or the repair dept.'s for not specifying "signature required." Either way, it was disturbing. Glad things didn't get worse for the OP. When I had my business, I'd sometimes send customers expensive products that were to be signed for but weren't. o_O

Got home from work and there is a Package from UPS at my front door. No one signed for the package! ...

Make sure you let UPS know about this. The driver didn't want to be bothered coming back later. UPS needs that driver to be a "man overboard". UPS doesn't need to get connected to putting guns in the hands of criminals because their drivers are being negligent.

If I had issue with a UPS or other delivery person I would first try to speak with them in a respectful manner. They have a job to do and not an easy one with the current temps and driving conditions. I would bet they get far more complaints about not delivering because of no one signing than the reverse.
I have delivery guys that will use tractor or skid loader to load or unload freight when no one is around.
My mail carrier leaves mail at one of the neighbors if my lane is snowed in, saves me the trouble of pulling him out.
I'm pretty sure they would be in hot water if their supervisors knew.
Lots of advantages to staying on the good side of delivery people.
As someone else pointed out, treat your waiter like crap and that's what will be in your food.
