I'm considering a long gun purchase through GalleryofGuns.com/Davidson's. On average, how much should I expect to pay for the three shipping that would be handled by UPS?
It's an inexpensive rifle, and I can't seem to find it locally. :(

It will depend on where it is shipped from and to. It will also depend if it is being shipped to a residence
    (I assume it won't) or a business.

A package that large will easily cost $40 or more to ship 3 day air.

Honestly, what UPS charges for 3 days air doesn't matter.

What the -seller- will charge you for 3 day air is what matters. The two are not necessary going to be the same (or even close).

The 3 day service may or may not go by air.

The gun will have to be shipped to an FFL holder. My local gun shop sat on my last non-shop purchase for nearly a week before I produced the UPS signature record to prove to them that my shipment was indeed already on their premises. Then they suddenly found it.

So if you're asking is it worth the extra price for "fast shipping", I would say NO.

    UPS has a shipping calculator.

Please read and heed the above advice.
