Okay, so I'm gonna sell a pistol on Gunbroker. How do I go about getting it to the guy? Do I need to take it to a local ffl and have him ship it? Or can I send it myself through Fedex or UPS to his ffl? I'm assuming this would have to be next day or something if at all. How much should I expect to pay if I have to take it to a dealer to send, and can they ship ground?

If you have an agreeable FFL that will be the cheapest and least hassle. Some FFLs don't like to receive guns from non-dealers anyway, if you do decide to ship it yourself you'll want to make sure the buyer's FFL will even accept it from you. My local FFL ships handguns for $20, usually. FFL to FFL can use lower-cost shipping than an individual can use, if the individual follows the shipping company's rules.

Many FFL's will not take a firearm from a non FFL. If the deals falls through the FFL cannot ship it back to a non FFL.
So get a local FFL to ship for you to his FFL.
On Gunbroker you will often see this. Cost of my pistol is XXX
Cost of shipping and FFL fee's is XXX.

If you tell UPS the truth about what it is, it will run you $70 - $90 to ship a handgun.

Other products of similar size and mass cost about $20 to ship UPS ground.

If you tell them the package containing the handgun is a "fan clutch," and it goes missing, you'll be out the cost of the gun.

If you have a friendly FFL who will ship it USPS for cheap, that's the way to do it.
