Gentlemen,
The answer to the last posting was the Compensating spring. These two reports give us the information for Ordnance to arm the USMC with the M1 Garand Rifle. You might find some of data in these files of interest. If you need a larger copy just email me below. Thanks

Some of these posted before. Others are new data files.
Warning, before you go to my sites lower your volume as the opening page contains a sound file which has a loading and firing of the M1 Garand. So if you're at work or home it may be wise to check your volume control.

3,000 a month doesn't seem like a very fast transition. 36,000 rifles a year, that's almost a year and a half to completely replace the 1903s, which doesn't seem too horrible.

Remember we had not gone to full war time production. Garand Production was still being setup with new production lines.
