USA, I travel alot.
My USP arrived today. CDNN is a great place to do business, If you need to get things rolling ask for Matt.

The USP is not as big as I thought. Although I have not measured it, the grip seems smaller than the grip on my G20. Easy to take down and clean, feels funny in my hand, but I am sure that will pass, this is the first USP I have Owned or shot. I put 200 rounds of Blazer down range, not a burp, fart, hiccup, nothing, just kept eating and spitting out brass. I could keep all rounds in the 9 and 10 rings at 7 yards. The gun is accurate, I just have to get used to shooting it, so I can get it to be more accurate. :D

I am pleased, and would like to thank everyone who helped me by answering questions on the USP 45 F. You all did not steer me wrong. A great gun, damn good price from CDNN ($659 shipped), and I am a very happy shooter.

Now, if extra 12 round mags could be had for under $40, I would be dancing a jig.

You've got a great weapon there...and at a good price.

Buy a full size Hogue slip on grip (large, around $10). Take your time putting it on and align the finger grips correctly. Some say it helps to soak it in hot water to make it more pliable and slip on easier. The grip made my USP Tac fit my hand like a glove.

Get a few .45 snap caps and do a bit of dry firing. I'm sure you're sitting down in the evening slipping in mags and fondling the USP, it's that kind of weapon.

There are some HK sites out there (forums) that offer new and used mags. I won't link the sites here out of courtesy. Whatever you do, do not settle for anything less than true HK factory mags!!! Always ask...and absolutely NO Promags. It won't harm the gun but it will make you feel like throwing it down.

Most guys here wouldn't recommend buying a gun without shooting a few but if it fits you well, you've done good.

For what it's worth, the gun will eat most anything. I shoot MagTech for range visits. NEVER a problem with my HK. Safe shooting and enjoy your USP!

I agree with everything that firesafety3 posted. I have a USP 45 Compact and it's a helluva pistol. Your fullsize will give you much pleasure! And do check out that Hogue slip on grip. I had no problems without it but it still made a world of difference. They are very inexpensive (paid $8 at my range/shop), so how can you lose?

Vernal45-

I have not had any issues with the grip moving on my 45 Tactical and I believe the grip is the same size on the USP45. The Hogue is a booger to get on but the factory grip serrations (pretty aggressive) keep it from moving much.

I have anticipated some movement and think I'll try a dab of hot glue at the top and bottom of the grip if needed.

Hogue Slip-ons

I haven't tried this, but it works great on rubber motorcycle handlebar grips. Been using it for years: Hairspray. Squirt some inside and it goes on easy. Let it set overnite and it won't slip again....and cycle grips get a lot of twisting, especially the throttle side.

I bought a USP45F back in December. It has since become my HD gun. Bought it used and it came with the Hogue grip. It's a bugger to get on, hot water will help. I actually found that I like it better w/out the Hogue, which is strange b/c I usually prefer them. I do, however, have an old piece of bike inner tube of the grip. Not quite a thick, but lots of grip.

They are a tack driver if I have ever seen one. I was making 2" groups on my second trip to the range with mine. I have not found a type of ammo that it will not shoot. It does have a polygonal bore, so you might want to stay away from lead. FMJ and JHP.

Have fun and shoot the crap out of it. They are great pistols.
