That sounds like the Profire course I am taking for a Utah non-resident permit.
It is an on line course but I have to take a NRA firearms class even though I have a Colorado permit. They asked me if I had any handgun experince. I said yes, teaching recuits at MCRD San Diego. I will let you know how the course turns out.

That's awesome. I think that's about the 3rd online course for a Utah CCW. We got options!

No, you don't have those options.

The Utah BCI (the governing body for CCW) has said that they do not endorse the online courses. The instructors that have been teaching online are being notified. The way the course is set up, it really should be taught in person.

Sorry guys. I am a Utah CCW instructor, so I hear these things through the updates. There isn't anything officially released yet, but BCI is ticked off.

And, the BCI/State Legislature has done something about it. All Utah Instructors will now need to attend a class IN UTAH to renew their certification. No more $5 and become an instructor ... in part, based on conversations I have had with the BCI, because of such on-line classes not meeting their expected standards.
