UTG Sights

I'm thinking of getting a flattop .22LR AR upper, and the rear sight from UTG ( http://www.botachtactical.com/mosym4maresi.html ) looks tempting, since I'm not sure how I will ultimately configure it, but I do want to start shooting it. I'm not eager to pay $120 for the similar LMT sight when it might end up in a drawer.

Anyone ever get one? Is it a POS? Does it hold zero, and return to zero when it's detached and reattached?

utg makes very good, hardy, steel products. Just remember, you are buying from China.

I bought one, got it a week ago, but my rifle just came in today, see my thread about it.

The UTG detachable rear sight I have seems very sturdy and looks good overall. I've got that and a Weaver carry handle assembly, I'll use them both as soon as I can and post about them.

For a general use sight they work very well for the money. I had one that was a little out of spec and wouldn't clamp down on my FN upper. I exchanged it for another and it's worked well on both that upper and a DPMS flat top upper. For your purpose of just being able to shoot the .22 upper until you decide on the exact configuration it would be the smart buy.
