I have a lot of Hornady 55gr v-max blems so I thought I'd try them out using new Win cases. No case prep other than trimming. Some cases were so tight that the trimmer pilot had to spin its way in. Not too proud of these cases. Anyway, I loaded 3 with the LNL with 25.0 gr of 8208 seated .005 from lands. Lots of p-dog pups out so I figured these blems are good enough for these cases. I think I can make em work! I know people will say 3 shots dont prove anything but I have a feeling! Woops! I forgot. this is with my Krieger barreled AR.

Nice. Plenty good for P Dogs at reasonable distances. Most of your P Dog shooting is 300 yards and in IIRC. :)

Yep, that's what I use most of the time, 25.5 grains of Varget seated 0.015 off the lands
here is 5 shot group

I also like 52 gr A-Max bullets ;-)

Betcha a box of bullets that none of the P-dogs notices that the bullets are blems.:D
BTW nice groups there guys.

I have shot a metric buttload of 30 CAL blems at 300 YD or less and never had a complaint with them.

Sierra blems

Fine shooting rifle.I pass thru central Missouri from time to time, and stop by Sierra Bullets in Sedalia. They sell blems by the pound and cheap.I can't see any losses in accuracy with the blems, and save a bunch of money with them. Don't know if Hornady sells blems at the plant in Grand Island,or just to wholesalers.Anybody got an answer?

I didnt get a single email about this thread. Here we go again! Last weekend i had to quit shooting early, ran out of ammo. Had 2 AR's and a 22-250. I did get 500 of the Hornady 53gr v-max but havent tried them yet. I figure with the pups out and a lot more shooting, I's shoot blems.

Some of the little ones arent much bigger than a mouse
Wow, minute of mouse at 300 yards is pretty dang good. I hadn't really thought about a pups size. We don't have any P Dogs here in Bama after all. Sounds like they leave the nest early.

We have large P dog populations here too. Some are well maintained by the university students( study projects) and they probably don't like it very much when they go back out to take a count and find the population keeps getting smaller. But it's perfectly legal even though they have a couple of signs posted stating they are studying this or that paricular colony. maybe it helps them to study the effect of a high velocity projectile on the little buggers?
