40gr v-max and the 223 rem

Does anyone load the Hornady 40gr v-max in your 223 rem. I usually shoot the 50 gr v-max with great results, but I was given some 40’s by a friend. When I seat these bullets out to the lands (1.895” base to ogive) it sure does not leave much bullet in the case neck. If anyone uses these how do you load them? Do you seat them out to the lands or do you seat them deeper?

I load every thing in the 223 for mag length. 2.25" I do not try to come close to the lands except with the VLD type bullets or heavy ones like 80 gr OTM. I shoot the same load 27.5 of Varget with 40/50/55gr bullets except the 55gr is NBT the 40 and 50 are VMax
