A friend is looking for a value on subject, I have seen new guns that don't look this good.very few rounds shot out of it. an insignificant minor scratch on wood.28in plain barrel modified choke. all blue on reciever and barrel is perfect. inside of the reciever is still deep blue no wear on bolt locking notch in top of receiver. the owner says he has kept it in gun cabinet for 15 years!!

my 2008 blue book says 100% condition equals $350 less 40 for no vent rib and less $45 for no choke tubes, however it says add 25% for 16ga this amounts to a 2008 value of about $330 this seems very low to me.

What say you re -current value of this immaculate 16 ga 1100?

It all depends on if you can find someone who wants a 16ga 1100.

Most guys that like 16s like the ones that "shoot like a 12ga and carry like a 20ga". Unfortunately, I believe the 16ga Rem 1100 is built in the 12ga frame, where other 16ga guns are built on 20ga frames, so there is no real weight advantage to the gun over a 12ga 1100.

On your side is the fact that we are just getting into upland hunting season, so top dollar will be given for hunting guns right now. If you find someone that has to have a 16, you might be able to get $500 or more for it, but I think ~$400 would be where it is most likely to sell.

Check the closed auctions on a couple of web sites.

That will give you the real world selling price.

Blue Book and Std. Cat. are out of date when they hit the book store shelves.
