I have some .270 wby mag brass and ammo left over from a rifle my father used to have. It is all factory Weatherby ammo in the original boxes.

What I have:
(97) Once fired .270 Weatherby Mag factory brass casings with boxes.
(23) Never fired .270 Weatherby Mag factory 130grain soft points with boxes.

I don't know much about .270 wby mag except that the rounds are quite expensive. How much do guys think I could get if I were to sell this stuff?

Well, using on-line prices what you have would have a retail value of about $220, new. Personally, I would expect you might get around $150-175 for it, unless you ran into someone who really wanted it badly.

Thanks man. I've looked at prices online before but didn't really know what I could sell it for. There is a gunshow this weekend. I will see if I can sell it there.

I have a 7mm Weatherby Magnum and paid $20/100 for new nickel plated brass and ~$50/20 for Federal Premium ammo with Bonded Bear Claws. These were in-store prices.

So I'd expect you'd get in the neighborhood of $50-70 for all of it. Sorry if that's less than what mdauben found for you. Good luck either way.

Doesn't bother me at all. I got plenty for selling the rifle :D. This stuff is sitting here collecting dust and I bet someone would want it.

I bet they would, too. If you don't find any takers at a gun show, try some of the online gun auction sites like gunauction, guntrader, gunbroker, gunsamerica, etc.

Good luck!

Please tell me where your store is! I wanna shop there. :D

The on-line prices I have seen for .270WBY factory ammo started at $50/20 for the cheap bullets up to over $70/20 for the premium stuff and $35/20 for unprimed brass.

Sorry if I got you hopes up, GM!

They don't have them in all the time. Mahoney's is also really bad about updating their online inventory. Those two stores are local to me, and where I found the deals on brass/ammo.

I do the gun store crawl on a weekly basis. I don't always find good deals, but when I do, I find Dos Eq... er, good deals.
