Value of a Beretta Model 1934

I've got a Beretta Model 1934 (made in 1941) which I had completely refurbished (i.e., all new springs, new extractor, new firing pin, new ejector, and professionally hot-blued) a few years ago. I'm thinking about selling it in order to free up space in my safe. I know that purists will say that re-blueing destroyed the "collector value", but it was in pretty rough shape when I got it and I was more interested in having a really nice "shooter" than a collector's item.

Anyway, what would be a realistic price for it and four extra magazines?

Once it's been refinished and had parts replaced, it's no more, and no less, valuable than any other comparable modern pistol.

You might get $250 for it, give or take. Only way to know is to put it on one the the internet auction sites and see what it brings. You'd probably do better selling the magazines separately.

The four mags would make it a more desirable purchase IMHO. Were I in the market for another Beretta, refinished or not, I'd certainly pay over $300 for one. I paid $375 for a 948 with four mags a few years ago. The mags are now hard to find and if you do they are over $40 each.

Hence my WW2 issue Beretta (also made in 1941) 1934 Army pistol is in stock form with a original WW2 magazine. And so is my Australian pre Victory Model .38 S&W used by their RAAF and U.S. GI National Postal Meter M1 Carbine.

The only gun I have that was refinished is a Winchester 92 in .44/40. And that gun only cost me $500 because it was refinished. Great shooter but it is only a shooter.

Even reblued, a good looking 1934 with 4 mags will bring over $300 on Gun Broker easily.

I would say $300 to $350 would be a decent price range, especially with the spare magazines.
