Hi all,

I've been browsing these forums for a while now, but this is my first post.

My girlfriend's dad has a Savage Tactical FP110 in .308 that he wants to give me a good deal on. The rifle is in perfect shape, it's only got about 100 rounds through it. No optics come with it.

The problem is, neither he nor I know of a fair price for this gun. I was looking for used firearm prices on the net, but couldn't find any. Anybody have an idea of a ballpark figure on what it's worth?

.308 is the 10FP (short action). 110FP is long action.

Brand new, with the accutrigger, they run around $480-ish. Without accutrigger they were around $40 less.

I'd guess $350 - $400 if it has the AccutTrigger, $300 - $350 without.

I always use www.gunfinder.net to look up prices. They're usually somewhere between same price as and $40 more than my dealer's price.

I have a pair of 110FPs. They are factory .308s

Stating 30-06 would necessarily imply a 110. Saying .308 could imply either.

I bought one from a coworker this Fall (xferred through a local dealer) $325.00. Came with Harris bipod, no optics, Leupold and Weaver scope bases. had 20 rounds through it.

I would offer him anywhere from $300, to $400.

I bought mine new in 2001, I believe I paid over $500, but this was in California. It is an awesome rifle for the money though.

Anything more than $400 would be too much IMHO. Although if it's in good shape, you might want to go a bit higher.

I won't part with mine for many years to come.

Just shot mine this weekend for the first time. Smallest group, also last one fired, .42" center to center, 3 shots, 200 yards. I am/was stunned. What a sweet shooter!
Buy yours now!

I personally woudn't pay more than $300 for it. I know what the local market runs for them, and $300 is about all you could sell it for here.

Without optics, I'd say $300-$325 sounds about right. I've got a 10FP in .308, and the darn thing just SHOOTS. One of the best values out there, IMO.

Three months ago I had my club FFL order me a 10FP LEII

26" barrel .308, with the accutrigger. The price from Williams Wholesale was $399 NIB, $20 transfer fee, and $9 shipping total $428.

Retail around here is $499-$519 (you will have to order it though cause no one carries it)

The accutrigger is great, mine was set a 1.5 lbs and needed no adjustment at all.

I fou dont get the accutrigger model be prepared to spend another $100 to get a new trigger / trigger job.

JMHO ymmv
