Value of Slightly Used CZ

I don't know much about CZ's but I have a chance to trade for a CZ SP 01. This is the one with the safety and a metal frame with the poly coat. Less than 100 rounds have been through the gun. I would be looking to sell it and I would like to know what I could expect to get out of it in a private sale. Any information will be appreciated. Thanks for the help.

I know this sounds weird, but it's been my experience CZ's get better as they have some rounds through it. I'd put it up at the price you paid for it.

Not weird at all. I think that's true of most new guns, isn't it?

You are looking to sell this after you trade for it? Gun value certainly does not go up from MSRP, 20% less then MSRP wouldn't be a bad place to start.

That's correct JDGray. I have a gun for sale now but this guy is wanting to trade the CZ,straight up , for it. And since I am looking to raise some money I will be putting the CZ up for sale.

I've seen NIB 75BDs for $529.00. I just bought a NIB CZ 75B for $489.00, which I thought was a screaming deal!

The SP-01 is not a run-of-the-mill CZ-75B. Folks who have them regard them highly, and a lot of them are into gun games.

The seller will have to take a little price hit, as the warranty goes away. That said, there's generally not much need for warranties with most of the CZs. You can see NEW SP-01s ones on auction sites from $500-$700, depending on options (like night sights). $500 certainly, but possibly as high as $575, especially if you can do a local sale and nobody has to pay shipping or a lot for an FFL transfer.

If "getting money" is the goal, . . . you will have much better luck with the CZ than the M&P. And the trade is much better for you. I would SOOO trade an M&P for an SP-01 without hesitation.

CZs have been hard to find lately. This should be a good time to sell. SUPPLY is short and there is demand---should sell well if advertised in the right place.
