Right now, I'm in the $2000-3000 range. However, next November, IF Hilldabeast takes office, I will be buying a Savage 308 scout rifle, which will put me very close to the next category.:D

Not really a high roller.....but I'll bet I've spent at least $10-$15,000 just in accessories, not including scopes.

I haven't read all the replies but I am not going to answer.
Most people can be traced through their ISP and e-mail address.
Why would I want to tell a criminal how much he can try to steal from me?

as far as tracing, that's why I left it as a poll  it's your choice to post a message or not.

In addition, I would assume that it would be close to 99.9% of the users on here own guns...would be kinda silly otherwise.

That's they same reason why I voted on the poll only. I was just wondering how many firearms and value of them that they have collected over the years.

I must say that I was quite surprised by the results. There are many more in the over $20k categories than I would have ever thought. I put up the $1 million mark because I am sure there are a few dealers on here. And I am sure they would love to post their address! Perhaps we could swing by for a purchase, say THR member discount cost + 5% :)

"I could have another house."

So could I, but I only paid $41k for mine in 1980.

I started adding up some numbers and decided I don't want an accurate accounting.

A couple of this, a few of that and pretty soon it adds up.

Nope, I don't want to know.

Does my '72 Single-Six count as a $52 gun or what it would take to replace it? Do I count the replacement value of the '63 Mountie my uncle gave me? Or the Model 37 .410 and Python I got from my dad? Too many guns and too much thinking involved in this exercise. Good thing the insurance folks just accepted a round number.

"How much are you worth... and whats your address? When do you leave for work? Dogs? Cameras?"

And look out for my retired neighbors with shotguns. They'll worry you to death. ;)

John

I am wondering if there are really 2 people that have spent (or accrued without spending) over $1,000,000 on firearms ..

I think it is funny when people post in these type of threads saying that they refuse to answer because someone might find out who they are (If they wanted to find out who you are .. they STILL can by you posting here).. DONT POST THEN.. Oh the irony ..

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I'm currently saving a lot of money so that next time I go to the gun show I can plop down a few Gs and get a few nice ones all at once instead of getting just one and agonizing over saving for the next.

If I had $2 Mil, I'd be right there with them.

No one said "spent", the poll is for value. You buy a new Taurus today retail. I hate to tell you, it isn't worth what you paid. As far as I'm concerned, anything over 25K is high roller in my book.

Corrected it for you Mr. 22-rimfire.. Spent/was given/found/came across digging a well/won in a bet/handed down from great great great grandpa.. I think everyone understood the point was $1,000,000 in TODAYS dollar (Value being monetary in this case) was quite a bit of firearms..

I wouldn't be shocked but incredibly jealous!

this ranks right up there with polls on 'how much ammo ya got', or 'how many guns ya got'.
Geez

Who cares if someone wants to ask? If you don't like the question, THEN DON'T RESPOND.
