Marlin 882 in .22mag. Horrible, horrible stock from somewhere-or-other.com, painted (badly) by me.

Seems to work though. I put a 30gn V-Max behind the ear of this old gal at 140yds......

HOOfan.....I'm using a 223 with 55gr v-max. I heard wonderful things about them so I gave them a try. Like I said...I haven't had one get away yet but the exit wounds are small. Great accuracy with them though. I shot a 3/4 inch group at 200 yards with them. That's the best group I've shot ever.

I finally broke the 400 yard mark. This one was right at 400 yards ranged with a Leupold RX-750. It was laying down facing right at me. This is my furthest shot yet. I also got 2 more out of a different hole that was at 352 yards. 2012-07-08_19-51-33_616.jpg
 
A .30-06 isn't typically thought of as a varmint caliber, but a 110 gr VMax gets the job done.
