I just saw a very unfair segment about teachers carrying guns in school in Uath. It was on the day side show. There is a poll on the fox news page in which we are losing badly. Please vote. www.foxnews.com

As a teacher, I would think schools would be much safer if teachers carried. I know some people I teach with that I would not want to have a gun, but they are nutty liberals and afraid of them anyways.

I would have loved to have been able to carry when I was working for the public education system in Florida.

Or just the fact that kids knew it was possible that their teacher could possibly be carrying would calm alot of stuff down IMO.

Anyway. I voted and it was still at 31%

...Dave

dang liberal arts teachers would pitch a fit if they new the world history an ROTC teachers were packin heat.

im sorry that was very stereotypical.........holds out hands to be smacked

[ninny]Teachers shouldn't be able to carry guns. There shouldn't be any guns on campus, or else there would be shootings. We should put signs up around school and make it super-illegal.[/ninny]

Still at 31%

Still 31%. Either their numbers aren't crunching, or a lefty Web site is spreading the word just like we are.

COME ON, HIGH ROADERS! VOTE NOW!!!

:fire:

The people here in Utah apparently don't have a big issue with teachers caring guns in schools, not much has been said about it in the media. After all the rules for this are pretty strict and laid out very firmly. If we don't have heartburn over it why should anybody else? :cuss:

I saw a few minutes of the show before I changed the channel in disgust. With all of the inflamatory questions, ignorant audience members, and lack of balance among guests, this show could have been on CNN.

FOX was mis-informed

It is NOT a new law, in fact has been in effect since 1998 at least.
Most people who have time and inclination to waste five hours standing in line and attencing a TV show have no life and are deathly afraid of firearms; whadda ya expect???:uhoh:

One might say we're getting our butts kicked... I'd prefer to think that 33% of the people are aware and understanding of the reality of defending a victim-rich environment and proper teaching in the classroom. 67% of our population lives in fear.

That's about right I figure.

I'm sure if the poll was limited to actual school district teachers it would be more like 2%-98%, if that.

I think some people oughta re-read Laura Ingalls Wilder's book Farmer Boy and wake up. OK, it was a bullsnake whip, not a gun... :D

Alas and Anon

Adios
