Anyone else pause the video when the guy was using the handheld electronic tool to verify the steel quality & ingredients?

Apparently the steel they use for most of their knife blades is: X55CrMo14

Confirmed here:

https://www.sakhome.com/304372168
Identification #: 1.4110
Material Name: x55CrMo14
Used in: blades
Hardness: 56HRC

It looks like it's not all that different from 440A, but with less chrome.

Composition can be found here. With 0.4 to 0.6 carbon I believe Victorinox was looking for an easy to sharpen steel that does not rust.

Would any one know what they were using back in the 1970's and 1980's? I still have a couple I used to carry from back then.
