Your idea of ''innovation'' is different than ours.

45,48,41, seem innovative to me. Especially the 41. I just wish it had a decent magwell available.
More likely you guys just don't seem to get my point. Or you're purposely missing it.

On the flip side you don't seem to have a point other than to shake your Pom Poms and have another drink of Kool Aid.

Pretty pointless to continue.

While Kool-Aid drinkers can try ones patience I for one am glad we will be moving away from 365 and those annoying 1000+ round tests. Alleluyah!

So it comes down to this. People are not happy because Glock is not making the gun they want. There are many gun companies out there but you don't hear near as much crap about them not making the gun they want. But it's not only the ones that complain about Glock not making the gun they want. You have the Glock haters that have to pop into every topic on Glock just to let everyone know that they don't like Glocks.
I own many guns and Glock is just one brand. I have fired just about every semi auto handgun that has be manufactured over the last 20 years. Of all the guns I have fired there are only a few that I don't like or care for. One brand that I don't care for is Springfield Armory when it comes to their XD series. But I don"t go to topics on the XD and complain about them. Now I have reasons I don't like them, some of them personal and some not. But I don't think that anyone in a topic on the XD pistols would care if I liked them are not so, I don't waste their time or mine.
When the Glock 43 came out I was thinking about buying a M&P Shield to go with my M&P9 , but I liked the feel of the G43 better so I bought it. When the Gen5s cane out I thought I wanted one until I put one in my hand. The cutout in the front of the grip along with the flared mag well did not make me happy. The cutout bothered me so I passed. I liked the 19X and bought one. If they had kept the manual safety on it like the HMS pistol, I would not have bought one. Then the G45 came out. I bought it and really like it. If it had had the cutout in the front of the grip, I would not have bought it.
People keep saying that Glock is not putting out guns that people want. I would have to say that they are wrong. Just look at Glocks sales, people are buying them.
Now I do have two G19s. One is a standard Gen3 and the other is a RTF. I also have a Gen3 22 and a Gen4 17. and I built two of the Polymer 80s, a 17 and 19.
When I was looking for a polymer frame 45 Auto a few years ago I looked at the G21. I found it a little to big for my hand, but the M&P45 fit grate. I bought the M&P and have been very happy.
There is no gun manufacture that makes every gun that everyone wants and not every gun that they do make, everyone wants. We are blessed here in the US that we have so many choices when it comes to guns.

the issue is not that people are hating glocks, the issue is that Glock is somewhat losing it's track, innovation is great and i'm happy to see new products come to light, but look at this new glocks...

single stacks ? why? ohh to comply with 2A infringed states? i know is a company and it needs to make money but still BS
if i own a weapon's company and the state want to be anti 2A well either the people change the state or i don't do business in that state, but that's my personal view. so lets say it's to help the CCW community, ok. Now we have a single stack 9mm gun that isn't compatible with the other single 9mm like the 26 is to the 19 or 17 what is the logic behind that? why drift away from what you been doing all these years that have worked so great? i think that losing the army's contract make Glock a bit crazy... hahaha,

Glock 19 double stack 9mm
Glock 19X longer grip, magazine compatible with the double stack mags
Glock 45 (a glock 19x in black)
Glock 43 single stack 9mm
Glock 43X longer grip, not compatible with 43 mags (why?)
Glock 48 same as Glock 43X but longer slide still not compaible with the 43 single stack...

so why not leave the 43 in it's place and call the new guns Glock 48 and 48X and make a new Glock 43 "gen2" compatible to take Glock 48 mags like the 26 take glock 19/17 mags.

BTW: still waiting on the Glock 19L, better yet, a......

Glock Gen5 19LC FS MOS (Glock 19 Gen5 Long Slide Compensated Front Serration Modular Optic System)

It seems most the People in conflict with Glocks, are Glock owners. The rest of the gun world just goes on shooting nice guns and have a good ole time. Looking at all these post, it seems every Glock was thrown into a mixer and folks are trying to put pieces back together. Which slide goes with which barrel etc. Some of these post sound like the old "Who's on First".

Why am I thinking of Mr. Potato Head when reading this? :)

I find it funny that people think that the military or the police would want a Glock 9mm Carbine.

Exactly. The only benefit to a Glock Carbine over an AR is magazine compatibility, if the officer already carries a Glock duty gun in the same caliber. Officers I know who have ARs in their car usually carry at least one AR magazine as part of their duty kit. And usually more in the car where the AR is.

The Ruger PC9 & PC40 carbine had minor success by getting adopted by the Maryland State Police and some agencies in Virginia, Washington State and Arizona. Mostly they found a home in Corrections.

Common firearms in corrections are ones that are easily modified to fire less lethal projectiles to prevent inmate death. 870s, Rem 700 or Mini 14s in towers.

Glock is a business. Selling firearms to states that have restricted magazine size is a win-win for them. They have sales in those states. And buyers in less restrictive states have another handgun to choose from in a smaller size. Making the magazine compatible with 26/19/17? Where is the point in that? You want a slim firearm everywhere but then have a double wide magazine well just to fit high capacity magazines? As much as I hate them, there is no better company right now that has magazine compatibility between 17/19/26 22/23etc that Glock has. If you want to have a high capacity 9mm in a small size, G26. G26 is the standard BUG for police officers who carry 9mm. And it has been around a LONG time by comparison.

You really can't help yourself, can you? Geesh.

Sorry Trey, but can you tell me again, which one accepts Glock mags?

Seriously, I think Glock makes great guns, but it might help if they did their marketing approach differently. Unless you are a Glock Fan, I think the rest of the buying market has a hard time trying to figure out which gun is which and what Gen is what.
How about quite being so sensitive to any comments made at Glock that are not 100% to your approval.

Seems like with the 43X & 48, Glock aimed at Sig, hit S&W, & grazed Kahr.

When I saw the 43X, I immediately thought "huh...a Glock with a grip perfect for my wife's hands". As far as the 48...I can't stop picturing one on my hip, perfectly concealed under my omnipresent jacket. Guess that might be the point.

You mean like 1911s, AR pattern rifles, AR10s, Smith and Wesson revolvers and the Savage bolt guns?

Yeah. There are a lot of nuances and mishmashed parts in the evolution of most successful firearms designs, no? Ah but this is a new GLOCK design so let the fire and flames begin.

I remember when Glock first became main stream. My dad hated them as a plastic atrocity. Glock has always been polarizing for some reason. But this is about the 43x and 48, which some will like and some won't.

I think people on here complaining about their dissatisfaction with Glocks offerings over the last 30 years should start their own thread and stay on the topic.

That's kinda scary.

The model, and generation of the Glock, is written on the pistols slide.

Its gotta be stressful always playing catch up to the competition..:neener:

Took half a second to make a XDs-X.

**Truth be told, Ive never shot it in this configuration as it feels too odd.

Amusingly, I almost bought a XD compact with the express plan of using the full size mags with a sleeve before Glock released the 19x. The 19 frame just doesnt fit my hands (especially with a 17 mag plus xgrip) but I do like the shorter barrel for IWB carry comfort.

I wish they made a 226 slide shortened to 229 length as, much like the 17/19, the 226 grip fits my hands so much better. Much like the 220 and 227 carry models that were out for a while.

Seems to be the trend for all the established poly strikers though, if you look through the catalogues of the 320, M&P, and XD you'll see many of the same variances and configurations available from all if them.
