Merry Xmas all, I hope this finds you well. Haven't done one of these in a few years and I hope to get some participation from all the hot shots on here. This is a friendly, honor system match for bragging rights and bettering yourself. All entries will submit a picture of their target with class, score, make/model of rifle, and other useful information like which ammo or load, etc. This opens as soon as you read it and will run through April 30. Hopefully one of our grand winners will take the reigns and host the next quarter!

Equipment: Class 1: Sporting/patrol rifle and carbine optics: This includes any hunting or "tactical" arm you would reasonably take afield for mobile hunting or serious work. Keeping the heavy varmint and LR rigs out of this one, walkers only please. I'll also include any original vintage sniper rifle such as Mosin PU, N4Mk1T, other Korean or earlier era snipers. AR carbines and service rifles with optics fit in this category also. Basically any "deer rifle" or military or paramilitary or sporterized arm with glass that isn't built up for specialty LR work. Optic magnification limit will be 6.5X for this. Setting a variable at or under this number is fine, we trust you!

Class2: Military/Sporting iron sights: Any as issued military, sporterized military, commercial sporting rifle with open iron sights or "combat" or "hunting" style aperture sights. Zero magnification red dots and reflex may shoot this category also. No diopter or match sights. If you have a Garand, M1A with NM sights, I'll allow it as it doesn't give a huge advantage vs regular combat sights.

Course of fire: 100 yards or meters. Unlimited sighters. I wish you to obtain a proper zero before shooting! You will then fire 10 recorded shots on the target posted at the bottom or a standard SR-1 or SR-1C. All shooting will be unsupported, sling use encouraged. Shoot whatever position you like so long as your body supports your rifle, not a bench, sandbags or bipod etc. Once you begin a target, you are committed. Those are your 10 shots. Please post good, bad or ugly with information on what went right or wrong. The group may find it informative! One submission per RIFLE and shooter combination. Different shooter same rifle OK. Different rifle, same shooter OK. Submit as many targets as you wish so long as each is a different combination of shooter and rifle! Dig out those safe queens and bring the kiddos and Brother in Law!

Happy shooting and use those slings! https://targets4free.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/NRA-SR-1-Target-by-Targets4Free.pdf
