In a word:

Wow!

I know people rave about these and I always thought they were a little overhyped. No longer, I'm a convert. Added one to my Mark 3 Target Competition and I couldn't be happier.

Nice, clean 2.5lb break that makes it just a joy to shoot. Combined with a Ultradot and I'm in target pistol heaven :D.

did you measure the pull before? I just measured my Mark 1 that has a shot out barrel.. it was shot so much.. it pulls at 2 lbs. My new Mark 3, with maybe 500 rounds through it pulls at 2.5 lbs. Is the Volquartsen pull the same, just smoother?

I didn't measure it, but it was noticeably lighter, probably about 50% or so. The pre & post travel screws also help a bit in cleaning up the overall pull as well.

i've wondered about this too. the trigger on my 22/45 is so light, has to be well under 3lbs. how much would this really improve it? with a trigger that light, i can't even really notice trigger "quality."

My MKIII broke around 4-4.2lbs and now breaks at 2-2.2lbs after the full VQ kit, as measured on an RCBS spring pull gauge.

I've been putting it off for my Mk 2, but I will get one. I put their hammer in my Remington 597M rimfire rifle and MAN what a difference! It went from stiff to nearly target grade just with the swap of a hammer. I was impressed.

I don't have a problem with the weight of pull of my Mk 2, but I'm hoping the sear kit will make it a little less spongy.

Nice rig!

I'm hoping to get an Ultra Dot soon.

I put the VQ hammer in my 10/22 and it made a huge difference, even in shooting from the bench. Very crisp and about 3 pounds, it was around 9 or 10.

I put the VQ sear in my Mark II but it didn't help the excessive creep. I had to reduce the notch depth on the hammer to get rid of the creep. I was going to buy the VQ hammer, but after reading the warning about light primer strikes with the VQ hammer I stayed with the heavier stock hammer.
