Anybody have any first hand experience with poly coated bullets (Precision Bullets), not the Hi Tek coated? I shoot plated now and have read 2 different things from different companies that sell pretty much the same bullet. One company asys it OK to use them and the other says NO. Confused a bit.

I have shot the 200 Gr SWC in .45 ACP and they shot very well for me.

Who said that is wasn't OK to use them, and why? They have been selling them for some time now.

Precision Bullets a definite and I believe the other one was either Eggleston or Bayou. I guess due to the Polygonal bbl.

Barrel type doesn't matter. I have polygonal rifled barrels and I use coated bullets without issue. Changing companies is no different in my experience either.

I think those are molly coated not Poly. I ordered a batch and they gave me fits in two guns with leading. Actually had a few that were undersized too and would not even crimp....just fell right out of the case. They are also swaged. I think that's why I had so many that were undersized (50+/-)? Just handling the bullets and the coating gets on your hands.

Anyhow I Powder Coat my own Bullets with no Issues. I have also shot Bayou, S&S, and Missouri Bullets and they never gave me an issue with the Hi-Tek Bullets. I changed barrels in my 9mm and still had issues with Molly coated Bullets yet my 10mm was fine. I don't know why my Sar did not like them. YMMV

Thanks for the reply. I ordered a few samples packs from each company. Ill try them all I guess. trying to avoid loading seperatly for 2 different 9mm guns
