doesnt look like it would be that hard to make one
I see someone else knows their Caddyshack. If only Carl Spackler, the greenskeeper, had one for gophers...

I bet it did, Styrofoam sounds horrible. It is expanded polystyrene plastic and I would imagine that residue from that would coat everything and be heck to remove. A better idea would be to use a little patch of cotton tee shirt or the like (no synthetics), or perhaps a little ball of wax (though I have never tried wax, .22LR is coated with it so I don't see how it would hurt, and as a bonus it would be waterproof). Also, it got dirty in the chamber and the launcher itself.
I would say with 45 degree of trajectory, we were launching them about 150 to 200 yards easily. What kind of distance is anyone getting from these?
My bro actually have one and it works.
it launches them pretty far.
The only problem we had was the extraction after the ball was launched. Haven't pinpointed the problem yet. We were using my home grown reload, basically put primer and powder and used styromfoam to keep the powder in the shell casing.

Ya got that right, now that is a statement that I think we can all agree on...and some folks say that Caddyshack was just a movie about golf.…and so you have to fall back on superior intelligence… and superior firepower…
