Received the walker flask with adjustable nozzle for 30-60 grns. I can't get it to to the 30 grains I want. I took the nozzle out, turned the long screw and then took out the small screw at the adjustable end, raised it to the level of the large screw and tightened the baby screw in the second hole and it still only threw 20 grains, the third level made it 40. How do I get this to work?

There is a small set screw in the side of the nozzle. Real small, like a tenth of an inch. Remove it (or loosen it) and you can slide out the nozzle and get a lot more out of it. The screw level that you are fiddling with is the trim adjustment to range over smaller charges. Like between 47 and 49 grns.

I have mine set to throw 55 grns of Pyrodex which is my standard load.

Once you find the set screw and loosen it, it is real obvious.

I did adjust the set screw but still can't get it to 30 grains. I want to use it for my 1858 remington. It appears the powder comes out behind the plug part when I lower the nozzle.

It may be obvious, but I'm an idiot and so obvious goes right by me.

Maybe yours is different. I loosened the screw and then the dispense tube slid out inside another tube. Mine is graduated so you can even get close to the charge you want. I can adjust mine to plus or minus about 5 grns and then the inner charge tube is screwed in or out to get it down to the grain.

Sorry about the phrasing. I made the assumption that yours was identical to mine and I thought it would be obvious.

Are you sure you got one for the Walker? I got mine from Cabellas and they offered two, one for most guns (non-adjustable) and one for the Walker (adjustable).
