I avoid Mec-Gear. I have had issues with their magazines on some other firearms and as a result I only get factory magazines. More money but less problems in my experience.

The PPK is no longer made. Here or in Germany. The PPK/S is made in the United States by Smith and Wesson. So their is no more import restriction on it.
Old news. I have already seen couple PPKs .22s at local gun show. It was made in USA but not in ME USA if I recall correctly.
