Just wondering what ammo works best for people that shoot a Walther P22? I use CCI Mini Mags that work great. Like to know if there is any other ammo that may be better? Thanks!:D

Mine does well with Remington High Velocity Golden Bullet. Easily found in bulk bricks at Walmart. It doesn't like the cheap Winchester or Federal stuff though. Mini Mags work well for me too but seem kind of pricey for regular practice.

Finally tried Mini Mags and only loaded the magazines with 9 rounds, otherwise, the second round would jam almost all the time... now my wife has to go back and try some other ammo with only 9 rounds in the magazine.

We were considering sending back the magazine/gun for a checkup, but since it is only a plinking gun and it works fine now with the 9 round limit, we are not bothering to send it in.

i use .22 gold dots, they are acurate and you can get them in any form:fmj,hp,lrn,rn,weave cutter/semi weave cutter<the whole 9 yards, however i have just bought a p99 as my p22 blocked using spearheads
and i just cant find a gunsmith who can unblock it. <(*_*)>

Mine has done well with all the cheap "on-sale" ammo I've tried: Winchester Wildcat, Remington Thunderbolt & Golden Bullet bulk pack, Federal Champion & bulk pack, and CCI Blazer.

Although some recent lots of Federal Champion have either bound in the mag or falied to fully cycle the slide leading ot some click instead of bang on an empty chamber with rounds still in the mag. I tend to think its not been fully cycling the slide as the next round has always feed on hand cycling afterwards. My S&W M22A has problems with rounds binding in the mag and it often does not pick up the next round when hand cycled afterwards.

Mine doesn't like Yellowjackets or Golden Bullets. It eats Federal Hollowpoints, though (bulk packed) as well as Thunderbolds, Remmington Subsonics, CCI anything, and just about everything else I've crammed in there so far.
