I have a Walther P99c QA compact. There is a broken spring in the weapon that I cannot get a straight forward answer on. In the attached schematic it is the spring and part at #32. This is not the exact schematic for the pistol, I have not been able to find one for this specific model. This part seems to not have any functionality in this model of pistol. It has the appearance of a safety, but there is not safety on this generation of the pistol. The part at #32 rises and blocks the sear from releasing the hammer. I am trying to find a replacement spring kit/service kit, but cannot locate one. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I tried Walther. They told me that it was a double action pistol and that I should send it in. The gun was never double action, so I asked for one of their smiths/techs, but they have not gotten back to me yet.

I have looked at the waltherusa.net site, some good information, I will give him a try. I just hate to pay someone else to fix a simple spring problem with one of my guns.

Thank you very much for the information!

Earl was very helpful, shipping me both of the firecontrol mechanism springs for $10! Ofcourse I had to order a nice $60 holster that I could not find locally.

Thanks for the tip!
