I’m at the range the other day and meet some very nice folks shooting a CZ 75 BD. I handled and shot a pre-B over 20 years ago when they were still very much a Comblock only proposition. The guy asks me if I want to try it; can’t resist. I loaded it with a few rounds of 115 gr FMJ 9mm and de-cocked it. All shots rapid fire at 25 yards with the DA/SA transition, all shots high right into ½ inch. I’m an accomplished pistol shot but that is amazing accuracy for a pistol I have never shot before.
This weapon has many of the qualities I’ve been seeking for a long time; fits my hand beautifully, accurate in the extreme, very easy to manage recoil, svelte, like the Kadet option, like the c&l carry option on the non-decocker models. There are things I don’t like, but the pros seem to outweigh the cons.
Question is, which one to get? I’ve narrowed my choices to these: CZ75B Stainless, CZ75B Compact or P-01/PCR?
This weapon will be used for the range, hd, plinking and occasional carry. I want the kind of accuracy I found with the CZ 75 BD in as concealable a package as possible. I realize the tradeoffs. I will only consider one decocker model, either the new P-01 or PCR. Finding a gun shop with all of these models in my area will be difficult, hence my questions.
For those who have shot them, how does the balance compare between the P-01 vs PCR vs 75B vs 75B Compact?
For those who have shot them, what sort of accuracy should I expect from the new P-01/PCR vs 75B or 75B Compact?
For those who carry them, how do they compare assuming proper leather/belt combo?
I think you CZ Fans are really on to something…
