Those 6.5 Arisaka's also make very good 6.5 Arisaka cartridges. It has a mild recoil even when loaded up with a modern powder maximum load and is very accurate in both the type 38 carbines and rifles. If you just want to plink and have fun with a historical rifle there is no reason to abuse it.
 
7.92x33

On another thought could a gun smith take a AR 15 or 10 and make it shoot 7.92x33 ? they seem to be very hard to find i was lucky to shoot one about 10 or 15 years ago up at a gravel pit he could hit a pop can at 200 hundred yards one after the other it was so easy on my body and i never shoot much more than that. He didnt live around here but i gave him my # but never heard from him just thought some one could make one? Thanks H.T.
