AGREE to DISAGREE on MINI GLOCKS
easyg,
We will have to disagree on the small grip mini guns like the GLOCK 26. My own experience with it was that is was more difficult to shoot than the 19. Recoil was a factor, but the small grip made control an issue.
I have shot other small guns and larger pistols with small grips. I really like the shorter grip on the BERETTA 92 Compact pistol and shoot better with it and any other pistol in this catergory. I also shoot the WALTHER P-99 very well.
Another gun that fits really well is the SIG 225. The shape is very ergonomic and I prefer it to the SIG 226 that I carried for several years.
I can also shoot the BERETTA Tomcat well despite the short, two finger grip. However, recoil is a non issue on this gun, at least for me.
One of the things that I noticed is that many of the LEO'S I have worked with, use a mini GLOCK like the 27, but with an extension added. To me, this defeats the purpose of making a gun so small.
I would rather they left the barrel/slide a bit longer as well.
For my hand, a grip long enough to hold 13 9m.m. rounds like the BERETTA Compact is perfect.
