The only time I've ever shot an SKS was the time I helped an old timer get it on paper for deer hunting. I was fairly impressed by both it's accuracy and the lack of recoil. But then again I'd been used to shooting my 30-06 with 180 grain bullets from a bench too, so by comparison there are lots of rifles with less recoil.
