i would like something that has a synthetic stock and blued in 308 or 30-06. i would prefer somthing with iron sites but still capable of mounting a scope if i decide later. i no its not much to go on but thought you guys might have some suggestions. it seems that the guns i have looked at none have sites
but are scope ready any suggestions is appreciated

what about savage, remington, or winchester do any of them make or have made any models like this. is there a specific model cz i should be looking at
i dont really mind who makes the rifle just want a good all around gun if there is such a thing and i am most likely going to put a scope but would like sights for backup just in case.

Iron sights on rifles are few and far between these days. Maybe an older used rifle would be something to consider.
You could have a budget rifle like the Marlin fitted with sights.

Savage has a nice one but it's not cheap.

Some models of Rossi and NEF single shots have the iron sights.

Synthetic/blued but w/o the iron sights: Weatherby Vanguard. Very good firearm at a low price.

u might wanna talk to a local gunsmith to see how much it would be to put irons on a rifle without them

if its cheap id look into the marlin xl-xs7 series

Also if you could find someone to import them, Australia is making a kick ass Lee Enfield in 308 with sights. Great wood and blued metal. Accurate. They have them in Canada.

Other than that:
World War II surplus SMLE's are excellent bolt actions with open sights, and very affordable. They shoot 303 british but I believe some later ones were 7.62 NATO. You will not find a faster cycling bolt action.

i think i found what i am looking for but cant find it on the savage sight it is a savage hunter 11fc does any one have experience with this rifle, and is savage still producing them or is this one i will have to find used.
