Well I was on Ebay two days ago and bid on a RCBS reloading kit ,just because it was only at $255 so i bid $260 then some bid $265 so i bid $270.

So i though in two days some one would out bid me well this morning i won a
RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Reloading Kit #09357 for $270 with free shipping.

So my question is is this a good or bad deal?

What else do I need to get beside good dies?

Thanks guys

Natchez sells that kit for $279.95 + shipping. I don't think you did bad at all.

I do not know what kit your are referring to or what the kit you won includes.

I would suggest you decide what you are willing to pay, bid and stick with your offer, I no longer bid through EBay but when I did many times I would be offered a second chance at a reduced price, or see the same item relisted.

The kit from midway on the link above is $323 + shipping.

What dies are you looking for?

I seen on ebay that all of the same kits like this one where go for $330 And up. If you buy now.

The guns that i have are 30-06 .243 .9mm .45acp .454 I will be reloading for my dad to so i need .308 and 7mm Rem mag.

As a side note. In the future you should do your homework prior to placing a bid for any item. It's easy to get emotional and pay too much, so avoid this through educating yourself before hand.

You did fine, but watch bidding on the reloading dies on ebay you can buy new for some of the prices they are trying to get for used.

Another way to avoid overpaying is to use a sniper program. These are programs where you enter the highest amount you would bid, and about 5 seconds before the auction ends, that bid is placed. There's no time for anyone to counter or raise your bid, and according to eBay's policy, your bid is entered as the minimum advance over the next lower bid. Avoids the constant raise/counter that drives prices up. And it keeps you from bidding up in response to someone else's bid. If the item is currently bid at above your amount, no bid is placed, which keeps you from overpaying.

Yup ebay often costs more than in the store if you don't know what you are getting. Find out what it is worth in the store and what it is worth to you and bid accordingly. I bid and then don't look again till its over that way I either get it or I don't.

You did alright but I haven't bought anything on Ebay since they went all anti-gun and stopped us from buying and selling bullets, brass, mags, barrels and anything else that touches the ammo. Those California clowns can keep their auction site and do so without my paying them even a penny in commission.

You didn't lose anything but you didn't get a bargain either. It gets funny watching the wild bids for stuff on eBay; much used stuff goes for more than new, LOTS of "new" stuff goes for much more than it can be bought locally or on line from established dealers! (P.T. Barnum's old rule still applies!)
