Sounds like they are getting the Government they deserve.

Law abiding people deserve their Rights be taken away?

Since public schools do not teach Civics and History is revisionist children are growing up without a understanding of the principles our Country is founded on.

Apparently, they are not the only ones.

Well, when they vote in politicians who will take away their rights .......

Look, in the end I agree with you .... but the reality is a LOT of people are very happy with the idea of restricting peoples' 2A rights to single shot firearms, if not spitwads and straws (paper straws, that is ).

And all that may be true... however....

Those that don't vote to have their own rights taken away certainly don't deserve to have their rights taken away against their will by a majority that does.

And that's really what it boils down to. The Rights of the minority are not to be trampled by the wishes of the majority.

No one deserves that.
