Get something new (if you like) and keep the WASR as backup. As said, the newer WASR offerings have a nicer fit and finish for not much money. Maybe get a 2nd WASR and then you'd have a second weapon that eats 7.62 x 39 also. Or spend the bucks on the Arsenal. For what it's worth I won't spend the extra on an AK--my older WASR 47 & 74 are ugly ducklings but they run without a hiccup and have been filthy for years and years. My advice--whatever you decide, keep the WASR if it runs well.
You know I sometimes get an odd urge to buy a completely unneeded new firearm (last was a Romi Tokarev). For me it's like once a year, so my wife doesn't mind. But really, it becomes an urge you can't refuse--I say, go for it!
