Watch a .357 Magnum Round Impact ! + Other Interstesting Ammo Hi-Speed Video

You may have seen this. If not it is 357 Magnum round in action - no wonder people carry them for Self-Defense:

Though on Youtube, the link comes from Brass Fetcher, which, if you don't know it, has many caliber tests besides the 357. Interesting!

And the YouTube link for 357 Magnum:

(And This is ridiculous, never heard of it: Extreme Shock 50 BMG FHV : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYSGuiko6Gg&feature=related)

DANG. That would hurt. :D I checked out the 9x18 silver bear JHP. Not a lot of expansion on that one, don't look like. Hmm.....been carrying that round. Oh, well, hit 'em in the right spot.

Texasred, some people are sold just on fancy gel video's and photos.
And auto-loaders are just so much "cooler" than revolvers...right? :uhoh:

I don't carry expanding ammo. I like the old boring HBWC/SWC/DEWC designs.

Then there's the over-used retort, "I'll remember that next time I'm attacked by jello."

    Cool link.
Didn't someone here recently say there was no such thing as energy transfer with handgun rounds?
Not saying it's everything, but it appears to happen.

Primarily 38 Special, .32 S&W-L (moot caliber, Federal wadcutters are your best bet). Caliber doesn't matter to me, I'd be wanting to get some of the Buffalo Bore "Anti-personnel" loads for that caliber.

I use Buffalo standard 38 Spl in my older snubs - great! 2 of the 3 different rounds they offer penetrate about 18" - wicked stuff. Even standard 38 is pretty hot.

They (Velocitors) clock 1,388 fps out of my 16" CZ Scout and shoot under an inch at 70 yards. Too bad they only do about 1,050 out of a 5" revolver.
