WC844- have you ever.........

reloaded 69 grain SMKs with this powder? If so, were you pleased? I'm getting close to adding .223 Rem to my reloading outfit. Apparently it was used for 55 and 62 grain bullets, wondering how the heavier bullet would perform.

I can tell you right now that it's not working for me with 77gr bullets. Groups are erratic as well as the velocities. I am literally getting 2-3" groups at 100 yards with virgin WC-844 and 77gr SMK.

I have 16 lbs of this stuff and I bought it mainly for 55 and 62 loads for range blasting. I was hoping to get it working for 77gr, but oh well. Looks like I'll have to stick to my Varget load for this bullet.

I've been told that WC844 is the same powder as H335 . .IF that is true then I've done that and been very pleased. My first batch at 23.6 grains of H335 under the 69 gr. SMK grouped 5 shots into .62 on Sunday. Bear in mind that I'm not a good shot, and I'm not a great reloader.
