Ok i need help here.
My Father purchesed a used Weatherby centurion II about 15 years ago to replace an 870 wing master that was stolen. Issue is it has never worked properly i.e. Fail to fire. After inspecting the trigger group i noted that the hammer spring was a little light (primers are struck but will not always fire even after changing brand and load types) so i replaced it and test fired to the same effect that sometimes it will fire and sometimes it wont.
i believe this is why it was for sale because the trigger spring had been cut when i removed it
can some one help with possible reasons for this i think maybe the fireing pin may be bad and i know that a gun smith could prob tell me but want to see if someone has had an issue like this
thanks in advance
