Friend of mine (all thumbs) has asked me to install a timney side safety trigger on his 1960 vintage Weatherby/ Mauser. I ordered a Timney 301 featherweight trigger and a new bolt shroud. Parts swap went OK but now the striker assembly only falls/moves a fraction of an inch. Anyone out there know what the problem is ?? I have done this job on about a dozen other bolt action rifles with no problem. Timney assures me that this is the proper trigger for this rifle.
