Weatherby Vanguard Price Check

    I was at the local store looking at a Weatherby Vanguard in .270, real nice looking gun with a wood stock and a Nikon 3.5-10x scope. I think they wanted around $6-700, is that about right or is that overpriced? Sorry too for the lack of details.

    IIRC, the Weatherby Vanguard series is the "value" line usually sold at Wal-Mart and the other bigbox stores. I think they sell for $4-500 at Wal-Mart without the scope.

    You could buy the exact same (new) set-up at Wal-Mart for the same price.

    I have a Wby Vanguard in .300 Wby and I paid $385 at Wal-Mart, I have a 3-9X50MM Leupold VXII on it that I paid $360 for, if that tells you anything...
