Does anyone have one? What do you think of it? I also want to know if they print a whole line of script down the top of the barrel like they do on the Howa 1500's...makers of the Vanguard action. Thanks in advance

    Great gun for the money.

Got three of the older Vanguards. Bought a 257 mag. that shot sub-MOA with factory ammo. I like it so well that I buy them anytime I find a bargain. Bought a 30-06 NIB for $280+shipping and traded for a 300 Weatherby mag at the last gunshow. Also have 2 Howas. All five have smooth actions, decent triggers and are a bargain. I understand that the Vanguard 2 is guaranteed sub-MOa out of the box. The Vanguards that I have do not have a book written the barrel. Don't know about the V2's.

I found this thread buried but had to respond...

I love em. they're a bit heavy but not enought to put on a diet. I have 4 of the older Vanguards. 270wsm that shoots lights out, a brand new 30-06 that become a 338-06 or 35 whelen, a vanguard backcountry in 300 wby, and just found a used sub moa 338 win mag that I haven't even shot yet. as you can tell, I think they're swell :)
