How can a bent rod throw velocities off? The rods are nothing but supports for the sun screens, they don't factor into the reading at all....

I was wondering the same thing , there no rods on my Pact-pro , and with the Pact-pro the unit sits on the bench , the screens and eyes stand alone so if you do hit them you are only out a few bucks and it works in all day light ,

+1 very happy with the Competition Electronics ProChrono Digital Chronograph. Keep good 9V batteries in them and they work without any issues on normal and moly bullets.
