After almost two years of debating and soul searching (as well as the purchase of a Ruger P89, and a Remington 870 12 gauge) I finally broke down and bought myself a stainless GP 100 4' barrel. I have been wanting a wheel gun in .357 for so long, and I figured finally graduating from college and starting a full time job were reasons for celebration.

Unfortunately I can't get my hands on it until monday (stupid waiting period) and even more unfortunately I can't shoot it until AT LEAST next weekend.

Thought someone out here might care, I sure am excited!

Good pick on the gp100. I also have one with a 4 inch barrel and it is a blast to shoot. Kind of hard finding good leather for it though. I finally found a solid leather holster last month and picked up a speed loader while I was at it. It is a pretty stout gun and recoil is very manageable, I highly recommend it.

You should be very pleased. I recently purchased the the same GP100 with a 6" Bbl. and I love to shoot it.
I am considering Hi-Viz or TruGlo sights on mine , it came with a red dot that I am not too pleased with.

Ronto, good advice and I would definately take that advice... if I didn't live under the hateful (towards CCW) eye of Jim Doyle. Maybe some day they'll let me defend myself, maybe.

never heard anything bad about a gp100....except that they are heavy...but if you ask me that's a good thing.
